Choose your holiday
Browse our walking or cycling holidays and select the trip that suits you. Our classic Dordogne valley walk is Castles & Caves of the Dordogne; for a shorter, more indulgent break, try Premium Périgord. Each itinerary includes clear route information, accommodation details, and pricing.
If you’re unsure which option is right for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch. We’re happy to talk through routes, pace, and suitability before you book.
Enquire or book
Once you’ve chosen your holiday, you can either make an enquiry to check availability or ask a question, or proceed with booking if you’re ready. We’ll confirm availability and walk you through the next steps.
Confirm your booking
To secure your holiday, a deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. Once confirmed, we’ll send you all the information you need, including accommodation details, route notes, and what to expect before you travel.
The remaining balance is due eight weeks before your departure date. Please read our Terms & Conditions.
- A 25% deposit secures your holiday. The balance is due 8 weeks before you travel (book within 8 weeks and the full price is due when you book).
- Cancelling, in writing: more than 56 days before departure, 25% of the holiday price (your deposit); 56 to 29 days, 50%; 28 to 15 days, 70%; 14 days or less, 100%.
- Prices are set in pounds, and you can pay in any currency you prefer.
Prepare and enjoy
Before you arrive, we’ll make sure everything is in place so you can enjoy your holiday with confidence. On arrival, all you need to do is follow the route, enjoy the walking or cycling, and settle into each stop knowing your accommodation and luggage are taken care of.
Support is always available throughout your holiday if you need it.

Ready to get started?
Dordogne Experience has been organising walking and cycling holidays in the region for over 40 years. Every booking is personally overseen by our team, using local knowledge and trusted partners to ensure your holiday runs smoothly from start to finish.
We believe booking a holiday should feel reassuring, not complicated.
Book early for May, June and September. Our hotels are small and often family-run, and they fill first in those months, so the earlier you book, the more choice of dates you’ll have.
Travelling with friends
Our holidays work well for two or three couples or a small group of friends, up to 12 people in one booking. Tell us how many of you there are and the rooms you need, and we’ll send you a price.
